La Maison des Iris

La Maison des Iris is within short walking distance (50 yards) from the quaint cafés, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, fountains, and squares of the village, and 150 yards from the chateau. You will be welcomed by charming Françoise Herry, who lives a short stroll away in Rue Albert Camus. She speaks fluent English. Information about the village and its surroundings is provided to our guests.

The first floor

The first floor has a large private sunny terrace (355ft²=33m²) with barbecue, which overlooks the Lourmarin Chateau and the Luberon Mountains. Old wooden roof beams add to its atmosphere. There are two spacious double bedrooms, each with bathroom and toilet en suite. One of the bedrooms has its own sunny terrace and separate entrance from the street. The old Provençal kitchen has modern facilities, including dishwasher, washing machine and microwave oven. The dining room and lounge are spacious. Two children can be accommodated on a sleeping couch in the lounge, where there is also an additional shower and toilet. There is TV, DVD, CD and central heating in winter. Area 1 346ft² plus terraces 430ft² = 1 776ft² (165m²). Own garage.

The ground floor

The ground floor is cool in summer. It has a large sunny terrace with a shaded part and barbecue. The walls are thick and have ancient stonework. There are two double bedrooms, each with bathroom en suite, and two toilets. The Provençal kitchen has modern facilities, including dishwasher and microwave oven. The Provençal dining room and lounge are spacious. There is an additional cool bedroom next to the ancient cellar below. An outside shower, toilet and washing machine are situated next to the terrace. There is TV, DVD, CD and central heating in winter. Total area 1 776ft² (165m²).

Ground floor: The terrace
